Hello Yogis, hopefully you are reading this as a refresher to what we learned during our workshop recently. It was an absolute pleasure to have met you and share a little bit of my passion. As a recap here are my favorite poses for managing back pain.
Please remember to modify the pose to meet your individual needs. NEVER force yourself into a pose that does not feel yummy in your body and remember to breathe deeply (feel that rib cage expand)!
Use props to create space, bolsters, blocks, blankets and when sitting on the floor elevate the hips, your back will thank you. Be patient while you heal, you will have good days and bad days but as you incorporate Yoga into your daily life you will soon notice that the good days outweigh the bad ones. Try and incorporate anti-inflammatory foods into your diet, red wine, chocolate, blueberries, turmeric, cherries are a few of my favorites. Try and move your body everyday even if you only have a few minutes. Take care and hope to see you again real soon.
